Lord of Váh River
The hero Stibor of Stiborice, the lord of the Beckov Castle and of the Váh River Valley was one of the richest men in the kingdom.
He was a valiant knight of the brotherhood of the Order of the Dragon thanks to his courage shown in numerous battles.
In a lost battle against the Turks he saved the king and swam across the Danube River with his entire armor on. Stibor owed his unprecedented courage to the brandy he drank.
The legend about the fearless knight Stibor inspired the designers of the labels placed on the bottles of the Carpathian brandy.
