The master of the river Váh
Hero Stibor from Stiborice, the master of Beckov and the entire river Váh was among the richest men in the kingdom.
He was a valiant knight of the Brotherhood of the Dragon Order because of his courage, which he manifested in a number of battles.
In one of the lost battles against the Ottomans, he reportedly saved the king and then swam the whole Danube despite wearing armour. The unbelievable deed was reportedly encouraged by the brand which gave Stibor the courage.
